I discovered this place during the pandemic and keep coming back here for their amazing lomi, but I was hesitant when I heard this place was under new management. Well, I'm no longer worried because they assured me the cooking staff is still the same, and aside from some rearranged tables, this place is still as good as ever. In addition to the lomi today, I also tried pork BBQ, pancit palabok, and lechon kawali, and they are all amazing. The new owner is friendly as well. There are plenty of future menu choices to pick from, but I plan to try the breakfast specials next.
Ang sarap! Will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes. But if you don't know what to get, you can't go wrong with their sinigang It's delicious! Tama lang sa asim!
Just got Filipino food today with my family. Fast service and good music. Food was flavourful enough to deserve a 5 star review.
*** DECENT FILIPINO FOOD *** came here with a friend for good old Filipino breakfast, I had the hungry man platter and obviously I thought I could finish it, but I couldn't, that platter alone can feed a family of 4 LOL PROS • decent Filipino food! • good location, lot of parking! CONS • busy, make sure you make reservations.
We went there as a group of 6 to try boodle fight, Fillipini party food. You need to book at least a day advance for boodle. When we get there our table was covered by banana leaves and the lady started to build the boodle once all of us arrived. There are a lot of pork, bbq chicken, fish, squid, veges and mango with a bowl of sour soup and a sisig. We lookve the taste and the experience. We couldn't finished and pack it up 2 containners. I'd suggest to go with 7 or 8 people. We also order a halohalo to share. It was a good too!
People have told not to come back here but because of tiny portions. I went back with my BFF last night the food taste amazing, service was fantastic. Will come back again. Kare kare, a dinuguan are so good!!!
Definitely a five for presentation and flavor. Fairly slow service on a Saturday at noon was to be expected. While the servings are large, I think you paying luxury prices. One pleasant surprise was the fact that there were no bits of bones which I often find in filipino cooking. The beef kare-kare, sweet and sour fish and pork barbecue on a stick are all recommended.
I don't have much experience eating Philippino food, but always love new food experiences. The food was really good it was fresh and full of flavor. The portions are big, you can easily share a dish with someone and you might still have leftovers. Prices are good for the most part when you see how big the portions are. The roasted chicken was very tasty, a little pricey for this particular dish but I was glad I ordered it. It's close to downtown Winnipeg and has good parking. I will be back!
